#LivingYourBestResLife

Ladies and gentleman, I have a sad announcement to make. This is the last #LivingYourBestResLife blog post for the year.

It has been a blast writing for you guys every week and letting you know what is going on around our beautiful campus. But your boy needs a holiday! I hear a sunny beach calling my name. But before I go, let me tell you about the End of the Year Masquerade Ball. Well, I can tell you, it was amazing! We had everything you could have ever wanted. There were free doughnuts with a chocolate fountain next to it, to dip them in and indulge in your sweetest tooth's desires. Yes, that is right. Who doesn't love a chocolate fountain? And you know me - fat boy over here - was all over that. There was a DJ playing some awesome tunes. We were provided with free booze from 7.30 till 9 pm, which I was all over (wink, wink). I think there may have been a few others who were pleased about this, too! You know who you are (wink, wink). There was the photo booth, which had people lining up in the longest queues I've ever seen, for their free fun memorable snaps! It was only natural that everyone wanted to capture the magic of the night, right? Not to mention that everyone was suited up and looking sexier than a Calvin Klein commercial. I’ve never seen such beautiful people in my life, we scrubbed up well didn't we!

Let me shout out to all the people and halls that won awards, you all deserve it and you are all amazing people. I also want to give a shout out to everyone who was at the ball. They are such great events for us all to socialise; be proud of who we are; what we've acheived, and what we will achieve. But most of all let me give a big shout out to the Residential Life Team and Cienna our lovely residential life manager, who makes all of this possible. A special thank you to you guys from Your Universe for letting me write for all you wonderful people every week, and to the amazing Lucy Atkinson, for putting up with me, ever since we started this journey.

Wow, I’ve been rambling on. But that’s how much I love you guys. Here is to next year! - If I get my job back (smiles nervously). Do keep following us on social media. Tell us all about your experience from this year and tell us what we can improve it for you. We do all of this for you guys. Now for the last time this year, I’m Lucas Santos and as always, stay beautiful UEL.
